eDoX is owned by a Joint Venture of
Daleelteq and Buraq Integrated Solutions. The purpose of having
the Joint Venture is to dedicatedly provide easy-to-use and fully
integrated document management solutions to small businesses and
corporate departments. Founded in 2001, eDoX currently serves over
15 clients just in Saudi Arabia in government agencies, educational
institutions and varied industries including financial services,
legal services, real estate, accounting and retail.
In KSA market, Daleelteq more than 8 years of Sales and Support
experience of Document Management Systems. There are more than 40
sites, which are being managed by Daleelteq all over the kingdom.
Mostly turnkey solutions are provided to the clients, which clearly
reflect the abilities. Engineers of Daleelteq are fully aware of
Customers’ needs and problems.
Buraq Integrated Solutions is a leading software development company
in Pakistan founded in 1992. BIS has expertise in Document Management
System development, Client Server based Application development,
Accounting System, Web based software development, Industry Automation
Solutions, etc. BIS has developed several software packages for
Pakistan Government, Pakistan Army, & Private Sector. BIS has dedicated
Customer Support team which is ready all the times to solve the
problems of customers. Buraq training facilities are accredited
by major universities and government agencies in Pakistan.
Product Overview
eDoX provides a complete document
management solution for document handling and storage needs. Designed
for small businesses or corporate departments, the software provides
a new way to quickly find, share and access all types of documents,
both scanned in paper and electronic. eDoX uses a nice Office XP
style GUI. Tree style interface makes it an easy-to-use, low-cost
solution that requires very little training and virtually no technology
expertise. Unlike other document management systems, eDoX requires
no IT department or outside consultant for installation, setup or
administration. eDoX is a multi lingual Document Management System.
English, Arabic and French are the primary languages. The document
searching and retrieval system is designed to be intuitive and user-generated,
reflecting the way users think about and look for data. Data input
requirements are minimal with the use of eDoX's smart LOVs and other
template properties. eDoX is OLE Automation enabled software so
it can interact with any other software easily. e.g. it can be connected
with any workflow syatem, accounting system, HRS system or any MIS.
So it will work as a document engine. All images and documents are
automatically composed which gives us more space on disk and decrease
the network traffic.
eDoX product is owned by Joint Venture of AlDaleel Information Systems
and Buraq Integrated Solutions. The Joint Venture was formed in
mid 2001, it has over 30 clients just in Saudi Arabia. Sales are
generated directly and through a network of Value-Added Resellers.

eDoX, right after its launch
in Pakistan, WON "13th All Pakistan Software Competition & Exhibition" organized by K.R.L. This competetion was held from 27th July 2002
to 29th July 2002 at Holiday Inn, Islamabad. Seventy-four participants
including leading software houses, students and professionals from
all over the Pakistan competed in different categories.
eDoX is declared Best Product of
the Year for Office Automation & Business Category.
Market Opportunity
Due to the increasing need for document
management solutions, the segment is expected to reach $9.5 billion
in revenue by 2002 (source: IDC). In addition, with the small business
sector expected to reach $3 billion in 2002 and today constituting
52% of the workforce (source: Cahners In-Stat), eDoX is poised to
capitalized on a growing and underserved market. In 2000, small
businesses spent $200 billion on technology, evidence that small
businesses are investing in new solutions and systems. eDoX’s management
and sales philosophy is geared towards serving the needs of this
segment and helping small businesses achieve more efficient and
productive workflow. For year 2002, eDoX is planned to be sold only
in Saudi market. From year 2003, it has been launched in Pakistan
market. For this, eDoX was first time launched in Comdex Jeddah
in early April 2002 then in Gitex Riyadth in late April 2002.
Technology
eDoX employs advanced technology to work seamlessly with clients'
existing hardware, software and operating systems. The eDoX software
is installed on each user’s hard drive and data is server-based,
allowing multiple users to share and access files within a system.
Database functionality provides fast search and display capability.
It works with MS SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8, Oracle 8i, Oracle 9i
and Personal Oracle. No additional systems investment is required
and zero technology expertise is needed to fully integrate eDoX
as a complete data management system.
